So, I ordered the book "Selbuvotter, Biography of a Knitting Tradition". It is all about knitting "selbu" style mittens. Absolutely beautiful mittens! I got the book in the mail Friday! YAY! So I hurried up and finished Nicoles scarf.. the scarf that took me forever! I was up till 12:30 Friday night finishing this thing so I could start a new project!!! Saturday I went out and bought the teeny-tinyest needles I've ever seen and sat down and made my very first attempt at "fairisle" knitting. I need to perfect my technique, but I'm in love. I am sure I say this about every new thing I learn.. but WOW. It is so beautiful. These will make GREAT gifts! (ME FIRST THOUGH!) I promised myself the first pair! HAHA!
